Math Teacher (Full-Time)

Job Description
Bishop Machebeuf High School is currently seeking a mathematics teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to teach all levels of mathematics for 9th grade through 12th gradeThe teacher should also possess an understanding of how the study of mathematic relates to an integrated approach to learning in the tradition of a Catholic Liberal Arts Education. 

Candidates must have: 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is preferable; 
  • An active personal faith life and involvement in the Catholic Church;
  • Ability to apply principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies pertaining to classroom instruction of high school mathematics; 
  • An interest in engaging other faculty members and integrating the study of history, philosophy, and theology with math instruction;
  • A passion for inspiring wonder and excellence in students who study mathematics
  • A commitment to continued learning and growth as an individual and member of the faculty;
  • Experience working with high school students.

Latin Teacher (Full-Time)

Job Description
Bishop Machebeuf High School is currently seeking a teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year who has fluency in classical Latin to teach all levels of Latin from 9th through 12th grade. The position could also involve courses in an integrated humanities curriculum that employs a Great Books, seminar-style pedagogical approach to literature and history in conjunction with courses in the Trivium. 

Candidates must have: 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is preferable
  • An active personal faith life and involvement in the Catholic Church. 
  • Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Latin grammar, a facility for prose and poetry translation, and be conversant with Roman literature, history, and culture. 
  • Knowledge of Wheelock Latin as well as National Latin Exam Standards.
  • Knowledge of, and educational background in, literature and the Great Books. 
  • A commitment to continued learning and growth as an individual and member of the faculty.
  • Experience working with high school students.

Humanities Teacher (Full-Time)

Job Description
Bishop Machebeuf High School is currently seeking a teacher for the 2024-2025 school year for courses in an Integrated Humanities curriculum that employs a Great Books, seminar-style pedagogical approach to literature and history in conjunction with courses in the Trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric) or Latin language. 

Candidates must have: 

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is preferable;
  • An active personal faith life and involvement in the Catholic Church;
  • Knowledge of, and educational background in, literature and the Great Books; 
  • Considerable exposure to the disciplines of philosophy and history;
  • An interest in engaging other faculty members and integrating the study of history, philosophy, and theology with science instruction. 
  • A commitment to continued learning and growth as an individual and member of the faculty. 
  • Experience working with high school students.

Volleyball Coach (Part-Time)

Job Description
Bishop Machebeuf High School is currently seeking a Girls’ Varsity Head Volleyball Coach for the 2024-2025 academic year. The coach will serve as an extension of our mission to encounter Jesus Christ through sport. The coach will run the entire girls’ volleyball program with the support of an Assistant and Freshman Coach, assisting with skill development in practice and the game management of the varsity team. 

Candidates must have: 

  • Have a strong background in Middle or High School level Volleyball.
  • High School and/or Club Volleyball coaching experience. 
  • Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, techniques, strategies, and technical skills. 
  • Possess a passion and enthusiasm for the Catholic Faith along with Volleyball and have the desire to develop the fundamental skills of high school athletes. 

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Attend after-school practice Monday through Friday
  • Attend all Volleyball games
  • Maintain a positive culture that helps students grow as disciples of Christ, student athletes and individuals
  • Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Bishop Machebeuf High School
  • Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Maintain effective communication with athletes, school administration, staff, students, parents, and the community
  • Perform other duties as they are assigned within the best interest for the program
