an academic community of faith

Building on a Tradition of Excellence
Capital Campaign

Through the years, our families, alumni and supporters have generously responded to the needs of the school with their time, talent and treasure.  As we write the next chapter in the proud history of Bishop Machebeuf High School, we focus on what matters most - remaining faithful to our mission to be an academic community of faith that strives to form the hearts, minds and souls of our students in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the living tradition of the Catholic Church.

Since our school's founding in 1958, families of Bishop Machebeuf High School have supported and responded to the various needs and challenges that emerge as they have arisen.  Now is the time to look forward to our next 50 years and to heed the call to prepare for the future needs of our students.

We invite you to join us in the Building on a Tradition of Excellence Capital Campaign and be a part of the future that is Bishop Machebeuf High School!

Funding Areas of the Campaign

Scholarship and Financial Aid Endowment     $1.1 million

So that no deserving student is denied the gift of a faith-based education, Bishop Machebeuf High School proudly offers financial aid packages for those in need and scholarships for high achievement on the High School Placement Test.  A fully funded scholarship endowment will contribute a minimum of an additional $50,000 annually to fund student scholarships and financial aid without an associated rise in student-related expenses.  The result will be more resources to increase the operating budget and address student needs.

Machebeuf Fund / Strategic Operating Support    $600,000

Machebeuf embraces no greater reward-and challenge-than educating its students in the Catholic tradition.  The Machebeuf community takes great pride in each student that graduates solidly rooted in faith and education, prepared for the world beyond.  Additional resources are needed to enhance student programs, bring teacher and administrative salaries in line with contemporaries, provide staff development opportunities and allow the school to respond to future opportunities.

Facilities Improvements       $368,000

By contributing to the BMHS Facilities Improvement fund, a number of improvements will offer a safe and productive educational environment for students and the Machebeuf community over the next 10 years.  Please see the Campaign brochure for a complete list.

Information Technology     $432,000

Bishop Machebeuf High School has already acted responsibly and aggressively to ensure that the student body is equipped with the technological tools necessary to compete successfully after graduation.  Machebeuf has invested $212,000 towards the integration of technology into curricula and support functions as part of its technology improvement plan.  Information technology systems will require maintenance and upgrade over their lifecycle, and eventual replacement with next generation systems to meet evolving needs.

In an effort to make campaign gifts simplified and meaningful, we offer a variety of options for donors to choose from, including annual, quarterly or monthly payments for up to 5 years.  Donors of $500 or more will be recognized on our campaign donor plaque, and all donors will be recognized in our Annual Report.  Naming opportunities are also available.
