Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade HOOP IT UP TEAM for winning their division (Champions) at the 2008 Hoop it Up Tournament. Players included: Rebecca Howell, Rae Hall, Jordan Molyneaux, and Lucy Rodgers.

Thanks to all the campers that attended the 2008 Girls basketball camp at Machebeuf. Once again the camp was a true success! Have a safe summer and look forward to seeing you at some games next season! Coach Kempfe

2008 Season Wrapup:

Feb. 28: Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for the win over Peak to Peak 48-40 to move them to the semi-final game against Faith Christian on Friday, Feb. 29 at 3pm at Colorado School of Mines. A win against Faith Christian would put the team in the District Championship game at 6pm on Saturday, March 1 at Colorado School of Mines. A loss to Faith Christian would put the team in the 3pm 3rd/4th place game at Colorado School of Mines. Directions to Colorado School of Mines: Take Hwy 6 into Golden, turn east onto 19th street. Take your first left at Elm Street. The Arena entrance will be on your right at 17th and Elm.

Feb. 25: The regular season has come to an end, with a record of 12-7 and a 4th place finish in league play. Our first district playoff game is Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7pm against Peak to Peak at BMHS. Stay tuned for more playoff information.

Congratulations to Kelly Mapes - 1st team all league, Jamie Mora - 2nd team all league, and Malayah Stamps, honorable mention all league. Thank you to the seniors for being a part of our program for the past four years:

Congratulations to the Varsity Girl's Basketball team for making the Sweet 16 after beating Olathe in the regional tournament. The Girls Varsity team finished the season 15-9.

The Denver Post has named Cheri Palmer 1st team All State and
Erin Doherty Honorable Mention All State.

Cheri was also named the 3A Player of the Year by the Post.

The Post also named Coach Ellie Kempfe as its 3A Coach of the Year.

The Bishop Machebeuf girls basketball team completed their run for the state title with a 55-46 win over Basalt Saturday night at Moby Arena. 

After finishing 5th in the metro league, the Machebeuf girls went on an unprecedented run through the postseason. The Buffs went on a winning streak that included wins against Colorado Academy, Strasburg, Classical Academy, Colorado Springs Christian, Cedaredge and Basalt to earn the 2007 3A State Championship. 

Congratulations to the varsity players, coach Ellie Kempfe, and assistants Terry Balous and Eddie Miller for their efforts.  Congratulations to Cheri Palmer and Erin Doherty, who were named to the All-Tournament Team.  Cheri was also named the Rocky Mountain News’ Tournament MVP. A special thanks to the students, faculty and staff who supported the team on their road to the title.
