Fall Sports BBQ
Saturday, August 28, 11AM to 1PM
Sponsored by the Bishop Machebeuf Booster Club
Fall sports athletes and their families are invited to a
BBQ following the scrimmages in the morning.
We ask that each team member bring the following to help defray costs:
Football Players - 12 pack of water
Volleyball Players- 12 pack water
Cheer- 12 pack water
Soccer- large bag of potato chips
Cross country-large bag of potato chips, golf-2 dozen cookies
Tennis – 2 dozen cookies
Softball – 2 dozen cookies
Coaches, please let your players know about the BBQ
and what they need to bring as a donation.
Physicals
If you were unable to attend the Summer dates for athletic physicals, you can schedule an appointment with Dr. Murzyn at his office at 303-344-4505. The cost of the physical is $25.00.
Pat Panek Award Recipient
Please join in congratulating Zoey Murzyn as the recipient of the Pat Panek Award for the 2009-2010 school year. The Pat Panek award is presented to a senior student-athlete, who while at Machebeuf has excelled in the classroom, has consistently worked hard and showed dedication in the sports in which she (he) participates and has given countless hours to her (his) community. Zoey has exhibited in her life a commitment to the ideals set forth in the Bishop Machebeuf Mission Statement. It is with great pleasure that we recognize Zoey Murzyn, whose hard work in her four years of high school has added to the character and life of the Bishop Machebeuf High School community.
Machebeuf Athlete Wins Three State Titles
During the State Track and Field Championships held on May 20, 21 and 22, Machebeuf track athlete, Devon White, ran to three 3A State titles in the 100m, 200m, and 400m races. This is the first time in Machebeuf’s history that a Track and Field athlete has won three state championships and it is unprecedented to win three in the same year. Devon ran a 21.74 in the 200m race, establishing a new State meet record. Devon’s time in the 100m race was 11.36 and was 48.94 in the 400m race. Devon’s times in the 200m and 400m races set school records. He previously set the school record in the 100m race with a time of 11.1. Please join in congratulating Devon for this amazing achievement.

Please join in congratulating Suzanne Mikesell and David Brown as the recipients of the Paul Murray Award for the 2009-2010 school year. The Paul Murray award is presented to two Junior student-athletes, who while at Machebeuf have excelled in the classroom, have consistently worked hard and showed dedication in the sports in which they participate and have given of themselves to their community. Both Suzanne and David have exhibited in their lives a commitment to the ideals set forth in the Bishop Machebeuf Mission Statement. It is with great pleasure that we recognize these two young student-athletes whose hard work continues to add to the character and life of the Bishop Machebeuf High School community.
