Bishop Machebeuf High School operates a small fleet of activity busses which are used to transport students to and front activities, athletic events, and strategically placed drop-off spots around the Denver metro area. BMHS employs one part-time bus driver who drives the designated bus routes to transport students to and from school. We also authorize multiple faculty and staff members to receive specific defensive driver training which qualifies them to transport students to the many activities and athletic events we have throughout the year.
For the 2022-2023 school year, we have one before and after-school bus route for students. This bus route stops at St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. If you are interested in this bus service or would like to let us know of additional needed bus lines, please contact the main office.

BMHS has adopted the newest version of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) created and published by the “I Love You Guys” Foundation (iloveyouguys.org). The Standard Response Protocol outlines five standard protocols to respond to any situation. Please see the attached flier which outlines the SRP.

BMHS conducts safety drills for the Standard Response Protocol which meet and exceed what is mandated by state law and the International Fire Code.
BMHS is part of the Safe2Tell system which is an anonymous reporting system operated by the State of Colorado Department of Public Safety where students and community members can report information or concerns about the school and the community in general. BMHS works with law enforcement to determine the proper response to Safe2Tell reports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please see www.safe2tell.org for more documents and information.

BMHS has the ability to conduct safety assessments to address the needs of students. These assessments include threat assessments and suicide assessments. We also have relationships with mental health professionals to refer students who need professional mental health services.
BMHS partners with all Denver first responder agencies in order to coordinate efforts to provide for the safety of our school.
