OBJECTIVES:
1. To develop enthusiasm and a spirit of inquiry in the sciences by providing the students with the best possible academic and laboratory experiences in each course.
2. To develop the ability to be analytical via:
a. Making observations,
b. Collecting data,
c. Forming hypotheses,
d. Drawing conclusions.
3. To develop precise techniques for the performance of experimental procedures.
4. To expand the student's horizons through an ever-increasing ability to read and interpret scientific literature.
5. To help the student discover some universality in the principles of science.
6. To help the student recognize the interdisciplinary nature of the applied sciences.
7. To raise awareness in the student of science as a means for understanding the natural world and for the resolution of some of humanities problems.
